A water line tie-in Thursday is scheduled to cause service interruption in the downtown area from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m.
The affected areas are Hidalgo Street from Salinas Avenue to San Agustin Avenue as well as Flores Avenue from Hidalgo Street to Lincoln Street.
MDA, a private contractor hired by the City of Laredo, will tie-in a new 8-inch water line to an existing 8-inch water line, causing temporary interruption of water services.
The tie-in is anticipated to take approximately nine hours for completion.
Motorists and pedestrians traveling through the area are cautioned to heed all posted traffic control signs and devices to provide safety to all citizens.
