Rovan, a private contractor hired by the City of Laredo, will temporarily cause traffic inconvenience and interrupt water services for some customers at the intersection of Cedar Avenue and Clark Boulevard in order to replace an old 8-inch waterline. Affected customers in this area will be notified by the contractor (through a flier) at least 24 hours before the water is shut-off.
Construction is scheduled from 2 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 27, through 2 a.m. Monday, Feb. 28.
Progress updates will be made available by the Utilities Department.
Motorists and pedestrians traveling through the area are cautioned to heed all posted traffic control signs and devices to provide safety to all citizens.
